My Experience

Bio

Hi! I’m Sam (she/her/hers)! I am an award-winning director who has experience in nearly every area that theatre has to offer, all while remaining a stay-at-home mom to one sweet little munchkin. I have a BA degree in Theatre Arts Studies from BYU where I focused my studies on directing and dramaturgy. Currently I am an MA candidate at SUU in the Arts Administration program. My passions are advocating for human rights and celebrating new works. I won Best Director (for The Days Come and Go and Literally) at Avonlea Theater Company’s Six Feet Apart Festival and my ten-minute play Out There was selected for production at the Utah New Works Theatre Project’s 2020 Utah New Works Ten (and promptly cancelled due to COVID-19). When I’m not working on a theatre project I’m probably searching for my next one or watching Gilmore Girls.
